According to the American Association of Orthodontists children should have their first exam with an orthodontist by the age of seven. Scheduling an exam at this age will provide the patient with preventive measures and education about the best practices for caring for their dental and oral health.

Teenage years are ideal for orthodontic treatments because they are still growing can prevent future problems and will achieve the optimum results.
