As for your question regarding appliances, each individual is different and it depends on your "bite" if you need appliances or not. Your orthodontist will be the best person to assess and answer that question for you. Also for spacers, they are used to make space between the teeth to fit the braces made for the back teeth, which are also called bands. And how braces are put on is a simple process of gluing the braces onto the teeth with a glue made specifically for teeth.
